Sidney P. Davis, Jr., obtained his law degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1960 and has practiced law with the firm now known as Davis, Wright, Clark, Butt & Carithers, PLC, ever since. He was a lecturer in Law & Insurance at the University of Arkansas Law School from 1962 through 1980. He has been a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers since 1981, serving as Arkansas State Chair for two years (1994/1995). He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel, receiving the Outstanding Defense Attorney Award in 1995/1996. He received the Outstanding Lawyer Award from the Arkansas Bar Association and Arkansas Bar Foundation in 1985/1986 and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America. He is rated preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.

Practice Areas: Primary practice areas include the defense of doctors, hospitals and nurses in medical negligence cases, business litigation, and general insurance defense.
